2023 has been a continually energetic year for us with most industries we operate in remaining busy. One or two have gone a little quiet but others have grown substantially. I’m sure there will be headwinds in 2024 but the outlook for Hitec looks very promising.

Throughout the year we’ve had a number of internal challenges to deal with…. the worst being a flooded welding department which has hindered production for several days over the last couple of months. Drainage and roof modification are the top priority for the Christmas break!

After the recent £1m in new equipment we have continued to invest throughout 2023 with the following;

• Installed an additional Haeger Bushing Machine
• Upgraded our ERP system
• We’ve welcomed 3 new employees

Plans are afoot for further investments in 2024 to meet customer demands. Employee development, capital equipment and process improvements being top of the list.

The Amada MP Sheetcat 3015 is our latest piece of new equipment which will significantly speed up production times, automating the loading, unloading and exchange of sheets to the punching machine.

The automatic feeder will increase capacity & improve turnaround with much faster performance times.

This is great news for our sheet metal factory and allows us to offer customers an even more efficient service.
